In 1920 a group of six strangers were rescued on an uncharted island. In physical likenesses they were just like you or me, but when they showed their skills they proved to be unique in every way. They had certain abilities which this world hadn't ever seen. They banded together and stood by each other even after they had gone back to their lives, and when they were sought after by the government, they vanished together. Their file was terminated, and no one ever heard of the strangers again.
That is until the file was brought up again. The virus found it's way back into the community, and had taken it's regime in a plant by the name of Acia. More than fifty years later a small group of students were found to have the virus, but it had transformed itself this time. This time the humans developed limbs from the virus, as well as psychological traits. These students were able to run faster, were stronger, and more agile. Once again the government was desperate for them. And this group was ecstatic about helping the U.S Government. It may have been the huge bribe they were given, but no one can be for certain.
They were treated with respect, but weren't allowed to leave the confines of Sector 31. Only a few people new about the Acia test subjects, and those who did were trusted fully to keep the secret. The Acia subjects were given the best, that is until the head died, and a new man took his place in 1985.
Darius Goodman was the new head of the Acia file. He had been with the file, since it's halfway mark, and he had proven himself worthy of the spot. Which is why no one saw what he did coming. He began to inject the students with more of the plants pollen, making them unstable. It wasn't long before the students died from being injected so many times.
I ask you all, did you think that would stop Dr. Goodman? Contrary to whatever you may have believed, he didn't stop. 10 years later, after he convinced the government officials it had all been an accident, contrare to autopsy reports, he resumed his position as head. But now he needed some new test subjects. So he had some employees go to the labor section of hospitals, and convince the parents it was the right thing to do. For the sake of the government.
He injected the new born babies with a syringe with the pollen inside of it. The affect wasn't immediate, and it took about three years for the effects to present themselves in the now toddlers. If they were weak, they were killed. It didn't matter though, not to anyone in Sector 31 anyways. If there wasn't an investigation all was well. He treated them cruelly, as if they were never human, and kept them locked in crates.
Their DNA was all types of animals. Varying from ears to wings to tails. Their bodies may have been affected by the virus, bute their minds remained in tack. Now in their later years, they decided it was time for them to escape the prison, which had held them for so long. They didn't really plan much, but the leader of the group decided that when he was being tested, he'd break free and set the others loose. It worked. Now they live amongst us, but under the radar as to avoid detection from the government.
